This fall we will begin our year as part of the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program. This program offers an opportunity for families to send their child(ren) to St. Boniface School at no cost of tuition. The application process opens on February 1 and closes on April 20, 2024. Enclosed is information that explains how families qualify for this program. Families with children who are currently enrolled at St. Boniface are also eligible and highly encouraged to apply if they qualify for the program.
Families interested in enrolling in the School Choice program must complete an online application. For information visit the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction or give the school a call and we will do our best to answer any questions you may have.
For the 2024-25 school year, the family income of a student new to a the WPCP program must be at or below the amount listed in the attached eligibility chart.

The student must reside in Wisconsin and outside the city of Milwaukee and Racine Unified School District. A new student must have a family income less than or equal to the WPCP income limits. Continuing students and students on a WPCP prior year waiting list are not required to meet income limits.
The student must also (1) be applying to grades K4, K5, 1 or 9, OR (2) meet one of the following prior year attendance requirements: (a) attended a public school in Wisconsin, (b) attended school in another state, (c) was not enrolled in school (includes homeschooled students for the entire prior school year), (d) participated in the MPCP, RPCP or WPCP, (e) been on a MPCP, RPCP or WPCP waiting list, OR (3) applying to the WPCP and on any prior year WPCP waiting list in 2015-16 or later due to a school district enrollment cap.
*All current St.Boniface students do not need to meet grade requirements (only financial requirements) for the first 2 years our school is in the program.
Every year parents must submit an online application for each student using the Online Parent Application. An email address is required to use the online system.
No. The Choice program does not pay for three-year-old children.
The “once in, always in” provision means your child keeps his or her voucher even if family income rises, as long as he or she does not voluntarily leave the program.
A parent still needs to apply each year.
